I use this method, but usually with small scraps of fabric rather than a whole sheet. It works amazingly well.

I like... #8

Continuing my series of posts sharing with you things I like, this week I'll let you into a little secret... I may be slightly obsessed with buttons!

I found a little shop when I was on holiday that had a large jar full of vintage buttons, which they sold by the scoop full. My husband actually left me rummaging through the buttons and went off in search of more interesting entertainment. I may have spent a few pennies...

I like searching for fun and unusual buttons. Love Craft have some fantastic patterned buttons:

And the Bead and Button Company sell an amazing range of buttons in all shapes and sizes.

I find it hard to sell the things I make from beautiful buttons, but the ones I can part with mostly get turned into button magnets.

New stockist - Georgiana May

Behind the scenes I've been researching online shops that I might like my handmade cards and notebooks to be stocked in. I wanted to find a shop that was the sort of place I'd choose to go to buy cards and gifts. It had to look good. And it needed to suit the style of my products.

I'm delighted to have found such a shop and very excited to have been accepted to sell with them. Take a look at the wonderful Georgiana May.

And you'll now find say it cards and notebooks stocked amongst all the gorgeous products.

I'm pleased to say that I've already had one sale through Georgiana May and my items have only been in the shop for a few days. Make sure that you pop over there to browse all the wonderful creations by a range of very talented artists.

Folksy Five #19

I've been interviewing my favourite Folksy sellers again. I never seem to run out of shops I love, and new ones are joining all the time. Click on the shop banners to see more of their lovely handmade products.

And as usual I asked them to choose their favourite item from my Folksy shop. This month they've all gone for notebooks.

Handmade mini notecards in new colours

A few weeks ago I asked my Twitter followers and Facebook likers to suggest new colour combos for my mini notecards.

It's taken a little while to get them all made up and listed in my shop, but here they are.
